Many of us love those long hours of Spa treatments, where special ingredients and treatments help us to soothe our body and mind. In those same ingredients, Essential oil comes first and holds great importance in therapeutic treatments. Essential oils are extremely popular for their aromatic essence. These are obtained from natural resources like plants, specifically citrus plant that produces essential oils, through distillation process.
Essential oils have some great significant properties that make them perfect for external use especially when an individual is seeking Aromatherapy. During aromatherapy, the smell of essential oils plays a vital role, as it soothes the mind and gives complete relaxed feeling and ambiance to the person who is having this treatment. Another positive aspect of essential oils is that you can easily mix them with any other oil and still can get the same aroma.
However, it is always necessary to buy good quality of essential oil in order to experience relaxing massage, for this, one need to know the traits of original essential oils. Therefore, check the quality of essential oil before you buy them. Moreover, a good quality essential oil contain high aroma, which you can check by spreading some amount of oil on your hand and another way to check the quality of essential oils is to dissolve them into water and if the aromatic essence still spreads with strong smell, than it is a pure essential oil.
Essential oils can be used in many ways, like during bath you can add some amount of it, or while massaging you can use them. However, during massage the use of essential is very popular. But it is advisable to always use a mixture of essential oil with base oil, because the direct application of essential oils on skin can cause allergy to sensitive skin, as the citrus plant extract is strong. Therefore, you can mix the essential oil with almond oil, apricot oil, grape seed oil, or carrier oil for a better use.
Moreover, if you do not have time for having “hours long sessions of massaging” to enhance your body smoothness, then, you can add these essential oils in your bath tub to get almost same results of Aromatherapy.
However, always remember that essential oils contain few contraindications, which are not suitable for those suffering from nervous system problems. Therefore, a suffering person should avoid essential oils like hyssop, rosemary and fennel. Even physicians suggest that those suffering from diabetes should avoid the use of angelica essential oil, which gives adverse effect on their health.
